WINTER VISIT

Tour Details:

Day 1: Warm Welcome to Iceland
On arrival in Keflavík airport, your private chauffeur will transfer you to Reykjavík. You will be free for the rest of the day to explore Reykjavik, visit museums, landmarks and such. Downtown Reykjavík offers a number of excellent restaurants, cafés, bars and clubs, for those who want to experience the renowned Reykjavík nightlife. Stay overnight at a hotel in central Reykjavík.

Day 2: Golden Circle and Glacier
Your private driver-guide will pick up at your hotel in the morning for the amazing “Golden Circle and Glacier”. Visit the beautiful Þingvellir National Park, before heading to the great Geysir area, home of the original “Geyser”. Close to Geysir we will find Gullfoss waterfall, which is especially magnificent in the wintertime. From Gullfoss, we drive a mountain track to Iceland’s second largest glacier, Langjökull touring the glacier in our 4×4 super trucks, optional if you like you can add snowmobiling to the tour. On the way back we will stop at Gullfoss to inflate the tires again. You will then be taken to the south coast, where you will have an exquisite dinner and stay overnight at Hotel Rangá, a luxury resort offering views to Mt. Hekla, the Mýrdalsjökull glacier and the Westman Islands on a clear day. The resort also offers geothermal hot tubs for their guests, where they can sit under the arctic sky and gaze at the Northern Lights when conditions are favorable.
Highlights: Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss, Geysir, Glacier Langjokull and Northern Lights.

Day 3: South Shore, Waterfalls and Glacier
Visit the beautiful Skógafoss waterfall. At the Mýrdalsjökull glacier (Sólheimajökull) we can walk right up to the glacier and optionally you can enjoy an glacier-hike. Experience the spectacular black volcanic sand beach and the rock formations at Reynisdrangar before heading back to Hotel Rangá in the late afternoon.
Highlights: Skógarfoss, Skógar Museum, Mýrdalsjökull glacier, Reynisfjara, Dyrhólaey and Reynisdrangar.

Day 4: Blue Lagoon and Lava fields
We will leave Hotel Rangá in the morning for a trip to the tranquil Lake Kleifarvatn and the moon-like Krýsuvík area, where you can see hot springs and bubbling mud pots. You will then be taken to the last stop before departure, the Blue Lagoon spa, set in a magical black lava field.
